How and when did you start playing?
7 years old after being a bridesmaid at a wedding with lots of band people. Was given an old cornet and then an old Besson flugelhorn that wouldn’t play about a G - might well account for never developing a strong top range! Went back onto cornet after uni.

Too many favourites to pick a front runner but anything that generates an emotional response.

What would your autobiography be called?
Smashing the glass ceiling into smithereens
I’m still trying to do this so clearly too early to write the autobiography yet.

 

What superpower would you like to have and why?
The power to create more hours in the day - I never have enough
